Description

July 4th, 2026, marks the official 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence in 1776. Led by the Founding Fathers, the original 13 American colonies stood up against the mighty British government in an epic struggle to take control of their own destiny and freedom. Now, in this milestone 250th anniversary year, Americans are looking back with gratitude and respect to our beloved Founding Fathers—architects of the democratic republic which has flourished under their blueprint.

To mark this anniversary, new world first 13-sided coins have been struck in 24 karat gold.  This Founding Fathers Deluxe Set contains four pure 24k gold coins honoring four of our most important Founding Fathers in one exclusive proof gold set.  The reverse of each coin features the portrait of one of the Founding Fathers: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay and Alexander Hamilton:

George Washington Gold Dollar

Washington’s capability, leadership, and sheer doggedness did much to ensure victory in the Revolutionary War. After retiring to Mount Vernon, he presided over the convention that created the US Constitution in 1787. Two years later, a reluctant Washington accepted his country’s call to become its first President, serving two terms. Not only did his actions as President guide the young nation during its critical early years, but his statesmanship also set the highest possible standard for his successors to follow.

Thomas Jefferson Gold $2

A champion of agrarian interests and the individual state’s rights over centralized state authority, he co-founded the Democratic-Republican Party with James Madison in 1792. Vice President under John Adams, Jefferson became President in 1801 and oversaw the Louisiana Purchase in 1803, the Lewis and Clark Expedition west of the Mississippi in 1804, and the prohibition of the importation of slaves in 1808. His death on 4 July 1826 coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

John Jay Gold $5

Jay served as Secretary of Foreign Affairs and as the first Chief Justice of the new Supreme Court during Washington’s presidency. He is best remembered for the Jay Treaty of 1794 — a Treaty of Amity, Commerce, and Navigation with Britain—which sharpened the divide between the Federalist and Democratic-Republican parties. He served two terms as Governor of New York and championed an act in 1799 that granted partial emancipation to the children of slaves.

Alexander Hamilton Gold $10

The principal author of The Federalist Papers, he saw America’s future as dependent on strong, centralized control. He was a key player in negotiations over the ratification of the US Constitution and, as the nation’s first Secretary of the Treasury, he laid the foundations of the US financial system as we know it today, including the creation of the Bank of the United States and the US Mint.

His later career was dogged by private scandal, and he died in 1804 in a duel with his arch-rival, Vice President Aaron Burr. His extraordinary life was immortalized by the hugely popular Broadway musical Hamilton, which premiered in 2016.

The obverse of each coin is based directly on the 1792 ‘Washington President’ Gold Eagle that researchers believe was minted as a unique pattern for a gold eagle, or $10 piece, which was expressly struck for and presented to George Washington. There is evidence that Washington carried this gold eagle with him as a pocket piece.

Struck in 24k gold, they are expertly minted to a stunning reverse proof finish.
