Description

Celebrating two of the most iconic personal symbols of our Late Queen Elizabeth II – The Queen Elizabeth II Cypher and Signature Five Pound Set

Two of the most iconic personal symbols of our Late Queen Elizabeth II were her royal cypher and her royal signature. Her cypher ‘EIIR’ appears on letter boxes, government  buildings and State documents. Although it appeared on numerous British stamps, it only ever appeared on three different crown sized coins: in 1953, 2016 and 2021.

Her royal signature ‘Elizabeth R’ (the ‘R’ standing for ‘Regina’) was used to bring thousands of Acts of Parliament into law during her seventy-plus year reign, and also on countless letters and notes she sent personally and which were sent on her behalf. Her signature did not appear on any coin until 2022, when it was used on coins to mark her personal qualities.

The Queen Elizabeth II ‘Cypher and Signature’ Silver Five Pound Coin Set combines commemorative edition British five pound coins, one featuring the royal cypher and another featuring her royal signature.  Both coins are solid sterling silver and minted to Proof quality standards.  They are housed in a presentation case with informative certificate of  authenticity.

With demand for all significant coins of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign so high, this is a good time to secure these coins which bring together two of the most visible reminders of  her reign.
